Abu Dhabi Real Estate Transparency Rises Eight Places in JLL 2026 Index
Abu Dhabi Real Estate Transparency Sees Further Progress
Abu Dhabi has taken another step forward in improving the way its real estate market is tracked and understood. The emirate has climbed eight places in JLL’s 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index, moving from 41st in 2024 to 33rd in the latest edition.
The ranking covers 88 countries and 146 city markets around the world. It looks at several parts of the property sector, including the availability of market information, rules and regulations, governance, transaction processes and sustainability.
For Abu Dhabi, the latest result reflects work being done to make property information easier for businesses, investors and other market participants to access.
Property Information Becomes More Accessible
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) has played a role in this progress by expanding the amount of real estate information available through digital platforms.
Property and market information can now be accessed through online dashboards, while interactive maps provide details at the individual property level. ADREC has also made data available through open application programming interfaces, allowing information to be connected with other digital systems and services.
Abu Dhabi is not stopping at its latest ranking. ADREC has set a goal of bringing the emirate into the top 25 most transparent real estate markets worldwide by 2030.
The next phase is expected to focus on expanding market data further, including information covering sectors such as data centres, life sciences and student housing. These areas have become a growing part of the international property market.
The emirate is also looking at the role of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics in making better use of real estate information. Sustainability remains another area of focus, particularly around building performance and energy-related data.
JLL’s 2026 index showed that transparency improved across many markets globally. Abu Dhabi’s latest rise adds to the broader progress seen across several Gulf property markets in recent years.
