Aldar Residential Sales Cross Dh5 Billion

Aldar Properties has generated more than Dh5 billion in Aldar residential sales from two new housing projects in Abu Dhabi. The sales came from Talay on Saadiyat Island and Yas Riva Reserve on Yas Island, both of which were launched earlier this month.

UAE citizens made up 31 per cent of the buyers across the two developments. Buyers from the UK, Russia, Jordan and India were also among the main purchasers, showing interest from both local and international buyers.

Abu Dhabi Real Estate Transactions Continue to Grow

The latest sales come as Abu Dhabi's real estate market records higher transaction activity. Total real estate transactions in the emirate reached Dh117 billion during the first six months of 2026, an increase of 112 per cent compared with the same period a year earlier. Transaction volumes also increased by 61.7 per cent to 16,838.

Residential property prices also moved higher during the second quarter. CBRE data cited in the report showed that residential prices in Abu Dhabi increased 21.6 per cent year-on-year. Apartment prices rose 24.4 per cent, while villa prices increased by 6.3 per cent.

Talay, launched by Aldar this month, includes 351 standalone villas and forms part of Marsa Al Saadiyat, a Dh100 billion waterfront development on Saadiyat Island. The wider development is expected to accommodate more than 58,000 residents once completed.

On Yas Island, Aldar launched Yas Riva Reserve, a gated villa community with 292 four, five and six-bedroom villas. The development also includes 45 homes with direct waterfront access.

The new launches come alongside Aldar's wider development pipeline in the UAE. The company's group development backlog stood at Dh71.6 billion at the end of June, including Dh59.9 billion in the UAE. Aldar expects this backlog to support revenue recognition over the following two to three years.

Aldar also reported Dh2.16 billion in net profit for the second quarter, up 10 per cent from a year earlier. Revenue and rental income increased 5 per cent year-on-year to Dh8.1 billion during the three months ending in June.

The latest Aldar residential sales add to the developer's activity across Abu Dhabi, with new housing projects continuing to come to market on Saadiyat and Yas islands.
