Distrikt Residential Development in Lisbon Wins Best Real Estate Project Award

Distrikt residential development recognised at World Class District Awards

Distrikt, a residential development by Kronos Homes in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações, has received the Almar Consulting Award for Best Real Estate Project at the World Class District Awards 2026. The award was presented in Madrid during The District, an international real estate event that brings together investors, developers, funds and financial institutions from across the property sector.

The recognition places the spotlight on a project that has become one of Kronos Homes’ largest residential developments. Distrikt represents an investment of more than €125 million and comprises four residential towers with 214 homes. The properties range from one to five bedrooms. The development also includes six commercial spaces and a public car park.

Distrikt residential development focuses on architecture and river views

Designed by Morph Estudio, the project takes its setting in Parque das Nações into account, with the architecture planned around the urban surroundings and views towards the Tagus River. The four towers feature broad terraces, large glazed surfaces and gardens, with the design intended to bring natural light into the homes.

One of the project's notable architectural elements is the 45-degree rotation of its floors. According to the project information, this arrangement helps orient the apartments while making better use of views across the city and towards the river. The combination of terraces, glazing and gardens forms part of the overall design approach developed by Morph Estudio.

The World Class District Awards are held as part of The District, which in 2026 took place at IFEMA Madrid from 22 to 24 September. The event focuses on real estate investment, capital markets and developments across the sector.

For Kronos Homes, the Distrikt award also highlights its wider approach of working with established architectural practices on residential projects. The company's portfolio includes projects designed by practices such as Ricardo Bofill, RCR Arquitectes and Eduardo Souto de Moura, alongside Morph Estudio.

The award adds an international industry recognition to Distrikt as the Lisbon development continues to be positioned around residential design, its Parque das Nações location and its relationship with the surrounding city and Tagus River.
