Dubai Property Market Sees Stronger Weekly Activity

The Dubai property market recorded increased activity in Week 40, according to The Real Estate Report’s weekly market analysis published on October 5, 2026. The report highlights a 23% rise in transactions during the week, alongside stronger sales activity and overall transaction volumes.

A notable development during the week was the performance of ready properties compared with off-plan homes. Ready properties moved ahead of off-plan properties, marking a change in the balance between the two segments. The shift is particularly notable because off-plan transactions have been a major component of Dubai’s property market during several recent reporting periods.

The latest figures come as Dubai continues to record activity across both completed properties and homes that are still under development. Ready properties refer to completed homes available for purchase, while off-plan properties are sold before completion. Their relative performance provides an indication of where transaction activity was concentrated during the reported week.

Ready Properties Gain Ground

Recent weekly data from The Real Estate Report shows that the balance between the two segments has changed in recent weeks. In Week 37, off-plan properties accounted for 54.5% of ex-land transaction value, while ready properties represented 45.5%. By Week 38, ready properties had moved slightly ahead, accounting for 50.3% compared with 49.7% for off-plan properties.

The Week 40 report now highlights another period in which ready homes have taken the lead. This suggests that completed-property activity remains an important part of Dubai’s market alongside continued demand for new developments.

The increase in transactions also points to broader market activity during the week. However, the latest weekly figures alone do not establish a long-term change in buyer preferences between ready and off-plan properties.

For the Dubai property market, the Week 40 results provide another indication of continued transaction activity across different segments. Future weekly reports will show whether the stronger performance of ready properties continues or whether off-plan homes regain their earlier lead.
