Guildcrest Estates Acquisition Adds 150 Managed Properties in Kent
Guildcrest Estates has completed an acquisition of Frederick & Co Property Services, a lettings business based in Thanet, Kent. The deal adds approximately 150 managed properties to Guildcrest’s portfolio and expands its property management operations across the county.
The Guildcrest Estates acquisition is part of the independent estate agency’s wider expansion of its property management division. The company already operates across residential sales, new homes and commercial property. The acquisition will add to its presence in the lettings market.

As part of the transaction, Emma, a member of the Frederick & Co team, will move to Guildcrest Estates. She will continue handling relationships with existing landlords and tenants. The enlarged portfolio will be managed by Guildcrest’s existing lettings team through the agency’s property management systems.
Guildcrest Estates managing director Sarah Huskstep said the acquisition was a complementary addition to the company. She highlighted the importance of maintaining the service that Frederick & Co clients have previously received.

The deal comes at a time when the UK lettings sector is dealing with regulatory changes. The industry bodies have called for changes to local landlord licensing, while new landlord database requirements are expected to cost £65 per property each year.
Guildcrest Estates operates as part of the Guildcrest Group across East Kent. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
