Lennar Breaks Ground on 441 Homes at Broadcast District in Wyomissing
Lennar has started construction on the residential part of Broadcast District in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The mixed-use development will include 441 townhomes and single-family homes. Concordia Group and SJC Ventures are also involved in the project.
The homes will be part of a larger development. It will include residential, retail, dining and recreational spaces.
A 120,000-square-foot retail center is planned for the site. Whole Foods Market will anchor the center. Other retailers will include Sephora and Shake Shack.
Broadcast District homes will have several floor plans
Lennar is planning five home collections with eight floor plans. Home sizes will range from 1,200 to 4,700 square feet. The company says the homes will cater to different buyers, including first-time and move-up buyers.
Prices are expected to begin in the $300,000s. Home sales are expected to start in winter 2026.
Six professionally decorated model homes are planned. Five will be townhomes, while one will be a single-family home. The homes will also be part of Lennar's Everything's Included program. According to the company, features such as stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops will be included in the base price.
The community will also have several outdoor spaces. Plans include green areas, outdoor fitness spaces, a dog park and places for residents to gather. A one-mile walking trail is also planned.
The development has access to Routes 422 and 222. Blue Marsh Lake and Penn State Berks are nearby, along with other shopping and dining options.
The homes will be located within the Wilson School District. Lennar's groundbreaking marks the beginning of construction on the residential portion of Broadcast District. Work on the wider mixed-use development is also moving ahead in Wyomissing.
