Singapore Advances Smart Logistics Infrastructure With S$260 Million OMEGA Project

Officials at the groundbreaking ceremony for OMEGA 1 Singapore, a S$260 million smart logistics facility by Ally Logistic Property and CapitaLand Investment.

Singapore is investing S$260 million in smart logistics infrastructure as Ally Logistic Property (ALP) and CapitaLand Investment (CLI) begin work on OMEGA 1 Singapore.

The new five-storey building will integrate logistics space with automation and digital systems that will help businesses handle growing demand despite limited land and labour. The project is part of the CapitaLand Southeast Asia Logistics Fund and marks the OMEGA platform’s entry into Singapore.

The facility will be situated in Singapore’s western industrial area, close to Tuas Port, Tuas Checkpoint and Jurong Port. OMEGA 1 Singapore is expected to be completed in the second half of 2028. This development will have a total gross floor area of 71,000 square metres, of which around 51,000 square metres will serve logistics purposes. The facility is expected to support domestic distribution, regional fulfilment and cross-border logistics flows.

The facility will include an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) capable of providing more than 65,000 pallet positions across ambient and air-conditioned storage areas. ALP’s own ALPOS software will link tenants’ warehouse management systems to the automation in the facility. This integration will allow businesses to track inventory movements and monitor operational performance through a single system.

The development will also incorporate sustainability features and is targeting Green Mark GoldPLUS certification from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority. A solar-ready rooftop, facade greening and landscaping are planned for the development. CapitaLand Investment said factors such as e-commerce growth, labour shortages and increasing AI adoption across businesses and supply chains are contributing to demand for technology-enabled logistics infrastructure.

OMEGA 1 Singapore is part of ALP’s broader expansion of its logistics infrastructure platform across Asia. The company already has OMEGA facilities operating or under development in markets including Malaysia and Thailand. The Singapore project expands the platform’s presence in Asia as logistics operators increasingly turn to automation and integrated digital systems to improve warehouse operations.
