Sobha Realty Expands into US and Australia with New Residential Projects
Sobha Realty has expanded into the US and Australia, securing land for its first residential projects in North Dallas, Texas, and Southeast Queensland. The developer plans to build a phased portfolio in both markets, working with local partners and using company equity alongside local financing.
Sobha Realty plans first US communities in North Dallas
In the US, Sobha Realty has secured sites in Celina and Frisco, both within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. The company plans to develop single-family homes, with sales at its first Celina community expected to start in 2027. The programme will be funded through company equity and local lending.
Two communities are planned in Celina. The first is expected to feature larger homes on sizeable lots near North Sky, followed by a wider family-home development. Construction at the Frisco site is also expected to begin in 2027.
Sobha Realty is also assessing potential projects in Austin and Houston, along with other Dallas–Fort Worth locations including Southlake, Westlake and Flower Mound. Nashville, Phoenix and Florida are being considered for longer-term expansion.
Australia expansion covers Brisbane and Gold Coast
In Australia the developer has bought two plots of land in Southeast Queensland—one in Brisbane and the other on the Gold Coast. A development application for the Fortitude Valley site in Brisbane is set to be submitted within the month. Construction on both projects is expected to start in mid-2027 depending on approvals.
The initial Australian developments will involve local builders, architects and consultants. Sobha Realty is also evaluating opportunities in Sydney, including apartments and house-and-land projects.
The company said its initial US and Australian projects will be delivered through local partnerships. Over time, it plans to introduce elements of its UAE-based Backward Integration model, including factory-built components and advanced construction technologies, into the two markets.
