Construction is now underway at Hamilton Grove, a $1.2 billion property development by Wentworth Equities in Hamilton, Brisbane. The project will include apartments, a five-star hotel, retail space and landscaped public areas. It is being built on a 7,639-square-metre site at 19 Hercules Street.

The start of construction was marked by a sod-turning ceremony on 21 October 2026. Mainland Civil is handling the civil works. The project has been a long time in the making, with Wentworth Equities having acquired the site 14 years ago.

What Hamilton Grove Will Include

The development, designed by FUSE Architects, will have 292 apartments spread across three residential towers. Plans also call for a 196-room five-star hotel and 3,000 square metres of retail space.

The first tower will contain 61 apartments, ranging from two to five bedrooms. Some residences will measure up to 329 square metres. Sales opened in April 2026, and the developer has reported early purchases of penthouses and apartments on higher floors.

Wentworth Equities executive chairman Sameh Ibrahim said the idea was to give residents the space and comfort of a suburban home while retaining the convenience of apartment living.

Large windows and spacious balconies feature in the design. Living areas are planned to offer views of Hamilton, the Brisbane River and the city. Kitchens will include Gaggenau appliances, while Urbis is overseeing the landscaping.

More Than Just Residential Towers

Hamilton Grove has taken its inspiration from The Grove in Los Angeles. In addition to the residences, the plans also include shops and landscaped pedestrian streets, where they can stroll, shop and dine.

The site is close to Portside Wharf, Racecourse Road, riverside walking path and parkland, putting the development among several established attractions that are in Hamilton.

Member for Clayfield Tim Nicholls and Hamilton Ward Councillor Julia Dixon attended the construction ceremony. Nicholls said the project, including its hotel, would add to Brisbane's offering ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Wentworth Equities expects to open sales for the second tower in the coming months. Planning for the later stages and hotel is still underway. A completion date and hotel operator have not yet been confirmed.

Hamilton Grove is part of the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area. The Queensland Government has committed $154 million towards infrastructure in the wider area, including roads, sewerage and water services.
