Dar Global Capital Partners Explores Dubai Real Estate Investment Opportunities
Dar Global Capital Partners is looking at new real estate investment opportunities in Dubai as part of a broader strategy covering several international markets. The alternative asset management business has also named Ziad El Chaar, chief executive of Dar Global PLC, as its chairman.
Announced on October 26, 2026, the strategy covers the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Dubai remains a key area of interest, with the firm exploring the possibility of launching a dedicated fund focused on the emirate.
Dubai Fund Under Consideration
Dar Global Capital Partners (DGCP) is the asset management subsidiary of listed luxury property developers Dar Global and is based within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) under the supervision of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
It offers access to prime real estate assets for high net worth individuals and institutions.
The proposed Dubai-focused fund remains under consideration. The company has not announced a launch date or disclosed a target fund size.
Dubai's position as an international business and wealth hub is one of the factors behind the firm's interest in the market. DGCP plans to assess opportunities in the emirate alongside potential acquisitions in other major global cities.
Investment Strategy and Leadership
The firm's investment approach centres on selecting assets at attractive entry valuations, managing downside risks and creating value through active ownership. This includes repositioning properties strategically and making operational improvements.
These priorities form part of its wider investment mandate, rather than a strategy limited to Dubai alone.
El Chaar's appointment as chairman is intended to strengthen governance and align DGCP's investment activities with the international development business of its parent company, Dar Global.
The appointment follows a period of expansion for the developer. Dar Global recently moved to the Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) category on the London Stock Exchange. Its global portfolio has also reached a gross development value (GDV) of $23 billion.
DGCP provides asset management and advisory services for sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across different jurisdictions.
The firm's next steps will depend on the investment opportunities it identifies across its target markets. For Dubai, the potential fund offers a route to more focused investment, although its structure and scale have yet to be confirmed.
