PLPB Infra Partners with Aurus Luxury Residences to Develop Premium Student Housing in Punjab

PLPB Infra and Aurus Luxury Residences partnership announcement for premium student accommodation in Chandigarh and Punjab.

PLPB Infra has teamed up with Aurus Luxury Residences to develop premium student housing in Punjab. The companies are planning around 3,000 studio apartments. The program is projected to last fours to five years.

The announcement of the partnership came today, at Chandigarh Press Club. The announcement was made by PLPB Infra’s CEO and Managing Director Sumit Singla and Aurus Luxury Residences’ Founder and Managing Director Bharat Agarwal.

The first project is planned at PLPB Wellness City on Zirakpur–Patiala Road, towards Rajpura. This will be Aurus's first student accommodation development in the region. The project will offer furnished studio apartments along with managed services.

Plans to Develop 3,000 Student Apartments

Rajpura is the first location in the expansion plan. The companies are also looking at Mohali, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Bathinda.

Around 3,000 studio apartments are planned across these locations over the next four to five years. The developments will focus on students who prefer managed accommodation over conventional rental options.

The proposed facilities include study areas, high-speed internet and fitness spaces. Recreational facilities and dining services are also part of the plan. Round-the-clock security is another feature included in the proposed offering.

The concept also includes community activities. These are intended to give students opportunities to interact with other residents. The accommodation will combine private living spaces with shared facilities.

Aurus Brings Experience in Student Accommodation

Aurus Luxury Residences focuses on fully furnished student housing supported by hospitality services. Its founder, Bharat Agarwal, has experience in the segment through The Hive Hostels. He co-founded the network with Siddharth Agarwal in 2019. It has since expanded to more than 11 cities across India.

Aurus plans to bring its managed accommodation model to the new developments in Punjab. The offering will include residential facilities as well as services designed around student needs.

For PLPB Infra, the partnership marks a move into the organised student housing segment through a specialised operator. Aurus, on the other hand, gets an opportunity to expand its presence across new locations.

The companies have outlined a multi-city development plan, with Rajpura as the starting point. The proposed projects in the other five cities will form part of the larger 3,000-apartment target.
