Sayyam Mughal, newly appointed chief executive officer of Prosperity Vita.

Sayyam Mughal has been appointed the new CEO of Prosperity Vita, taking up the position on 30 October 2026. He moves into the role after serving as chief operating officer at Prosperity Group.

Mughal has been part of the group since 2017. He started out in a financial role and later worked as a commercial lead before becoming COO. His years with the organisation have given him experience across different areas of its business.

Prosperity Vita is involved in private, affordable and social housing. One of its main aims is to ensure that affordable homes are delivered and managed to standards comparable with private housing.

Joe Billingham, chairman of Prosperity Group and a board member of Prosperity Vita, welcomed the appointment. He pointed to Mughal's long association with the business and his knowledge of its operations and partners.

Speaking about his new role, Mughal said the company would continue to focus on sustainable growth. Working with local authorities, Homes England and other housing partners will also be part of its plans to support the delivery of affordable and social homes.

The appointment does not come with any announcement of new residential projects or funding commitments. For now, the focus is on Mughal taking charge of the business and leading its existing housing activities into the next stage.
