Scanlon Group is moving ahead with plans for a 43-apartment development in Coolum Beach, Queensland. The project, named Orvō, has received council approval and is planned for a site at 27–31 First Avenue.

The plan will replace three consolidated allotments with an apartment block consisting of four floors. The apartment block will consist of a few two and three-bedroom apartments, resulting in multiple options for buyers.

Of the 43 apartments, eight are planned as Sky Homes. The building will also have basement parking and shared facilities for residents.

The residential spaces are only part of the project. Orvō will likely come with a roof-top swimming pool, fitness and wellness facilities, a business lounge and common areas for residents.

The development will be set up with shared amenities, which will allow residents to use the facilities within the building in place of depending completely on outside leisure and working spaces.

For Scanlon Group, the project has a personal connection. Managing Director Tony Scanlon has spoken about his long-standing ties to Coolum and described the progress of Orvō as an important milestone for the company.

Construction is likely to begin in the first half of 2027, with the projecct expected to be complete in the second half of 2028. This will also create jobs during construction.

With council approval secured, Orvō is now progressing towards its planned construction phase. Once completed, the project will bring 43 new apartments to the Coolum Beach property market.
