Rently Rental Payment Platform Secures $12 Million Credit Facility

Rently, a proptech startup based in Singapore, has obtained a $12 million growth loan from January Capital. The money will enable it to finance more rental deals and extend payment services across the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and other regions.

Rently has a huge advantage in that it allows tenants to pay their rent in instalments, select dates on which to pay, and benefit from rewards as well. Its Rent Now Pay Later option for the UAE permits people to pay monthly, with landlords receiving the money as per schedule.

Rently handled more than AED 100 million of rental payments in Dubai alone last year. That amount has increased more than five times what its previous volume was. Across its three markets, Rently reports annualised rental volume exceeding $50 million, with more than 2,400 tenants using its platform.

Rently targets the UAE rental market

For many UAE residents, rent remains a substantial upfront expense. Tenants have traditionally paid through a limited number of cheques, sometimes covering as much as a full year, despite receiving their salaries monthly.

Rently's payment model offers an alternative. The company works with real estate agencies such as White & Co, alongside co-living businesses and property managers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Monthly rent payments have also gained attention from local authorities. In June 2026, the Dubai Land Department launched Flexi Rent, an initiative that allows tenants to pay rent monthly.

Rently is using artificial intelligence to automate parts of its operations as transaction volumes grow. Chief executive Shiv Mahajan said the company aims to triple the number of tenants it serves over the next 12 months.

Further funding planned for 2027

The credit facility comes as Rently prepares for a Series A equity funding round of between $10 million and $15 million. The planned raise will support product development and expansion into additional markets from 2027.

Rently previously secured $3 million in pre-Series A funding. Its investors included Hustle Fund, 5I Ventures, Woh Hup, Orvel, Orange Bloom and Feedback Ventures.

The latest financing gives the company additional capital to expand its existing services while preparing for its next stage of growth.
